American Conference Announces Men’s Soccer Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas  The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer awards for the week ending Sunday, October 12. 
Offensive Player of the Week

Fabio Bozesan, Gr., F, South Florida

Bozesan helped guide the Bulls to a pair of wins over Stetson and FIU, scoring the first goal in both games to put South Florida on the board first.

Defensive Player of the Week

Andreas Evangelou, R-So., D, Charlotte

Evangelou helped guide the 49ers to a pair of shutouts at Campbel and at UAB, while also scoring two goals in the win over the Blazers.


Goalkeeper of the Week

Leo Stritter, Sr., Charlotte

Stritter recorded back-to-back clean sheets, finishing the week with nine total saves, including five saves in the 1-0 win over Campbell

Freshman of the Week

Jakob Auby, Fr., F, South Florida

Auby scored a goal in the 3-2 win over Stetson, while adding two shots on goal in the 2-1 win at FIU.


Honorable Mention

Ole Jessen, So., D, UAB

Jessen had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win against Jacksonville.

Denis Krioutchenkov, Sr., F, Charlotte

Krioutchenkov scored two goals on the week, including the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win at Campbell.

Aboubacar Traore, Sr., M, Florida Atlantic

Traore scored the second goal of the game in the 2-0 win over Memphis.

Tyler Richardson, Jr., M, South Florida

Richardson finished with three assists in wins over Stetson and Florida Atlantic, including two assists in the 3-2 win over the Hatters.

Jared Aguilar, R-So., M, Tulsa

Aguilar assisted the game-winning goal in the 1-0 road win over Temple.
