North Texas defeated Houston on the road on Saturday thanks to a career-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting from sophomore Desiree Wooten. The Mean Green took down the Cougars 69-53.
BURTON, NORTON CLOSING IN ON WINS MILESTONE
UAB head coach Randy Norton and North Texas Head Coach Jason Burton are closing in on 200 career wins. Burton is just one win away and will next play on December 1 at New Mexico. Norton sits just two wins away at 198.
NEUTRAL SITE GAMES ON DECK
American teams will play in multiple neutral site tournaments this week. UAB and Wichita State will be playing in the Emerald Coast Classic, East Carolina is playing in the UNLV Classic, Tulane is playing in the St. Pete Showcase, UTSA will be playing in the Thanksgiving Basketball Puerto Rico Clasico, Rice is playing in the Cancun Challenge and South Florida will be playing in the Cayman Islands Classic.

East Carolina junior forward Amiya Joyner had a career-night in the Pirate win over Howard, scoring 32 points on 62 percent shooting while grabbing 15 rebounds in the process. It marks the third time in the last three season’s an American player has reached the 30 point/15 rebound threshold and the first East Carolina player since 2004.
DISHING ‘EM OUT
South Florida’s Mama Dembele has been an impressive facilitator this season, dishing out 40 assists on the season. She ranks 8th in the NCAA in total assists so far this season.
