49ERS REMAIN LONE UNDEFEATED TEAM

Through four conference games, the Charlotte 49ers are the final remaining undefeated team in conference play after defeating Rice 61-54 on Thursday night. The 49ers will look to improve to 5-0 with a trip to San Antonio to take on UTSA on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN+.  Rice will look to rebound with a home game against South Florida on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

BLASIGH’S CAREER NIGHT

South Florida freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh tied The American season-high with 35 points in South Florida’s win over Tulsa. She went 13-for-25 from the field, including draining five from behind the arc. Blasigh was three points shy of tying South Florida’s freshman record for points scored in a game.

STOCKTON EYEING 650 WINS

Tulane head coach Lisa Stock is looking to win her 650th career game.  She will become the 14th active coach to reach the milestone and just the 35th coach to ever reach 650 wins. Of her 649 career wins, 586 have come at Tulane, while 63 came over three seasons at Greensboro.

YOUNG SETS CAREER-HIGH FOR MUSTANGS

SMU transfer guard Tiara Young had a career-night on Thursday, helping lead the Mustangs to a double overtime win over Memphis.  Young scored a career-high 38 points, while recording her first double-double of the season with 15 rebounds.  Young went 18-for-22 from the charity stripe, the most made free throws made by an American player in the league’s history.  Her 38 points are the most scored by an American Athletic Conference player this season.
