BULLS WIN STREAK INCREASES TO EIGHT

South Florida has increased their winning streak to eight games following their win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday. South Florida has won 14 of their past 16 games. The Bulls haven’t lost since Jan. 14 when UAB beat South Florida on a buzzer beater. Since that game, the Bulls have moved into second place in the conference and have handed current first place UTSA their only loss of the season

DOUBLE-BYE CLINCHED

With the win over Memphis on Saturday, the UTSA Roadrunners have clinched a top four seed in the upcoming American Basketball Championship and with it, a double-bye to the quarterfinals. The Roadrunners sit in first place in The American with a 13-1 record in conference, and a one-game lead over South Florida. The Bulls can clinch a double-bye with a win over Memphis on Saturday.

IN THE HOME STRETCH

Just two weeks remain in the regular season as teams compete for spots in The American Athletic Conference Basketball Championship to be held March 8-12 in Fort Worth, Texas.  Every seed is up for grabs as just four games remain in the season.

AMERICAN IN THE NET

Two teams rank in the top 100 of the NCAA NET rankings. South Florida leads the way at 67, while UTSA is just behind at 72.
