IN THE RANKINGS
Florida Atlantic has been tabbed No. 10 in the latest Associated Press Men’s Basketball Preseason Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll. Memphis is receiving votes in both polls.
PROTECTING THE BALL
SMU’s B.J. Edwards has started out the season by providing 17 assists through three games with only one turnover. That 17.0 assist-to-turnover ratio is tied for the nation’s lead with Stanford’s Jared Bynum and South Carolina’s Ta’lon Cooper.
DOUBLING UP
Temple’s Jahlil White has started off the season with a pair of double-doubles, including 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Owls’ win over Navy on Friday, November 10. It is the first time a Temple player has recorded back-to-back double-doubles since February 2020.
HOME COOKING
Florida Atlantic is tied for the second-longest active home win streak at 18. The Owls are tied with Liberty and UMass Lowell, and only UCLA (27) has a longer streak.
