IN THE RANKINGS

Memphis moved up three spots to No. 10 in the AP Top 25, and is up to No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Florida Atlantic is No. 23 in the AP Poll and is receiving votes in the coaches poll.

BULLS STORM BACK AGAINST MEMPHIS

South Florida came from 20 points down in the second half to defeat No. 10 Memphis, 74-73, on January 18. It was the Bulls’ first ranked win since defeating Louisville in the 2012 season and first top-10 win since defeating No. 10 Georgetown, 72-64, on February 3, 2010.

The 20-point comeback was also the second biggest in South Florida history, only behind the Bulls’ 25-point comeback against Stony Brook on March 20, 2019.

CRANKING UP THE DEFENSE

North Texas ranks third in the country in scoring defense at 58.4 points per game allowed, while SMU is ranked seventh at 61.9 ppg allowed. In field goal percentage defense, the Mustangs are second (36.7 percent) and the Mean Green are seventh (38.0 percent). SMU is first in 3-point field goal percentage defense, at 25.5 percent.

TAKING ADVANTAGE FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE

Tulane ranks second in the nation in both free throws made per game (20.5) and free throws attempted per game (27.6).

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY

Vladislav Goldin of Florida Atlantic is shooting 70.5 percent from the field, which ranks first in the nation with five or more field goals made per game.

Tulane is eighth in the country in scoring at 86.1 points per game.
