HARDAWAY NAMED TO NAISMITH COACH OF THE YEAR WATCHLIST
Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway has been named to the 2025 Werner Ladder Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year Watch List presented by AXIA Time. Hardaway is one of 15 coaches across the country named to the list.
WASHINGTON NAMED ONE OF OSCAR ROBERTSON TROPHY NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Wichita State’s Corey Washington was named one of the five Oscar Robertson Trophy National Players of the Week on February 18 after averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in two wins, including a win over then-No. 14 Memphis.

Memphis is third in Division I in 3-point percentage at 40.0 percent, led by Tyrese Hunter, who leads The American at 41.9 percent from behind the arc.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
UAB’s Yaxel Lendeborg is tied for third in Division I with 18 double-doubles on the season and has broken The American record for career double-doubles with 37. Dedric Lawson of Memphis (2015-17) had the previous record of 36.
Lendeborg is one of two players in Division I (Duke’s Cooper Flagg) that leads his team in points (18.0), rebounds (11.0), assists (4.1), steals (1.6) and blocks (1.9).
