IN THE RANKINGS

Florida Atlantic has been tabbed No. 15 in the latest Associated Press Men’s Basketball Top 25 and No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Memphis is receiving votes in both polls.

JONES NAMED USBWA OSCAR ROBERTSON NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Memphis’ David Jones was named of the five Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week. Jones helped lead the Tigers to two road victories by averaging 26.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, product opened the week with 23 points, eight rebounds and four steals Wednesday in an 85-80 overtime victory at VCU. He then backed it up with 29 points, seven boards, two steals and two blocks while draining a career high-tying five triples Sunday against Texas A&M in an 81-75 win.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY

Vladislav Goldin of Florida Atlantic ranks first in the nation in field goal percentage at 73.7 percent.

Tulane ranks eighth in the nation as a team, shooting 51.7 percent from the field, while Florida Atlantic is 18th at 50.5 percent.

TAKING ADVANTAGE FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE

Tulane ranks first in the nation in both free throws made per game (24.2) and free throws attempted per game (31.8). The Green Wave is converting at a 77.5 percent clip (18th in the nation).

CRANKING UP THE DEFENSE

Tulane ranks 10th in the nation with 10.5 steals per contest and is 21st in turnover margin at +4.4 per game.
