Florida Atlantic improved to 17-4 all-time in Shula Bowl matchups against Florida International.

Charlotte QB Trexler Ivey came off the bench with 12:59 left in the fourth quarter and with the 49ers trailing Gardner-Webb 20-6, but engineered three consecutive touchdown drives in a 27-26 come-from-behind win. Ivey went 11-of-12 for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Charlotte’s comeback from a 17-point deficit matched the 49ers’ largest comeback in their FBS history.
