The venue for the American Championship Game will be determined in the final week of the regular season, when Tulane hosts Memphis (Thanksgiving night) and Army hosts UTSA (Saturday, Nov. 30).
If Army and Tulane both win, then the higher-ranked team in the Nov. 26 College Football Playoff rankings would host the championship game.
If Army and Tulane both lose, then the home team would be determined by an average of computer metrics after the conclusion of all games of Nov. 30.
If one team wins and the other loses, then the outright regular-season champion would host the championship game.
- Tulane will take the nation’s longest active regular-season winning streak in conference games into Thursday’s game against Memphis. The Green Wave has won 17 consecutive regular-season games against American Athletic Conference opponents, tying UCF (2017-19) and Cincinnati (2020-22) for the longest streak in conference history.
- The Thanksgiving matchup between Memphis and Tulane will be the only matchup between nine-win teams in Week 14.
- Army saw its 13-game winning streak snapped with Saturday’s loss to Army at Yankee Stadium. Army held the nation’s longest active winning streak until Saturday.
- East Carolina overcame a 21-0 deficit to beat North Texas 40-28. It was the first time that the Pirates rallied from a deficit of 20 or more points since a 44-43 win against Southern Miss Oct. 9, 2010.
- Interim head coach Blake Harrell is the first coach in East Carolina’s program history to win his first four games.
- UTSA had a school-record 16 tackles for loss in the Roadrunners’ 51-27 win against Temple. LB Jimmori Robinson set school records with 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.
- UTSA CB Zah Frazier has had two interceptions in three games this season, including Friday’s win against Temple.
- UTSA has won its last 10 games at the Alamodome.
- UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor is 16-2 in November in his career.
- South Florida gained 715 yards of total offense, good for second on the program’s single-game chart (745 vs. Florida A&M in 2011) and the most against an FBS opponent.
- Charlotte was not penalized in the 49ers’ 39-27 win against Florida Atlantic, marking the first time in program history that the team did not commit an accepted penalty.
- UAB CB Adrian Maddox had a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown to close the first half of the Blazers’ win against Rice.
