The American Athletic Conference, Big Ten and SEC are the only FBS conferences with at least three eight-win teams entering Week 12.

If Tulane defeats Navy this Saturday, then Tulane and Army would play in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game Dec. 6, with the site to be determined. A Navy win against Tulane would keep the championship pairings undetermined until at least next week.

Army is one of the four remaining unbeaten FBS teams (BYU, Indiana, Oregon).

Army has won its last 13 games, dating to last season, which is the nation’s longest active winning streak and Army’s longest winning streak since 1950.

Army had not trailed at any point in the first 12 games of its current winning streak. North Texas ended the streak with a field goal on its opening drive last Saturday, ending Army’s streak of 12 hours, 7 minutes, 50 seconds of game time without playing from behind.

Army is the NCAA FBS leader in scoring defense (10.3 points allowed per game).

Tulane has won 16 consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season games and has the nation’s longest conference winning streak. The Green Wave is one win shy of the conference record of 17 consecutive American Athletic Conference wins, set by UCF (2017-19) and tied by Cincinnati (2020-22).

Tulane leads the nation with six defensive touchdowns, five pick-sixes and eight non-offensive touchdowns.

Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall is 24-0 in his career when his team outrushes its opponent.

Navy has won 72 consecutive games at home when leading after three quarters, the nation’s longest active streak. The Midshipmen’s last home loss when leading after 45 minutes was in 1999.

Memphis has scored at least 20 points in 37 consecutive games, marking the longest active streak among FBS teams

Memphis QB Seth Henigan enters Week 12 needing 472 yards to tie The American’s career passing yards record, set by East Carolina’s Holton Ahlers from 2018-22. Henigan has 13,455 career passing yards, and 14,274 yards of total offense, both good for second on The American’s career chart.

East Carolina has scored a combined 105 points and has 1,051 yards of total offense in two wins under interim head coach Blake Harrell.

North Texas QB Chandler Morris is second among all FBS players with 26 touchdown passes. Morris, who has played nine games, trails only Miami’s Cam Ward (32), who has played 10.
