American Athletic Conference teams will make seven linear television appearances this Saturday, including three consecutive games on ESPN – Memphis-Florida State (noon ET), Tulane-Oklahoma (3:30 p.m. ET) and UTSA-Texas (7 p.m. ET). Oklahoma State at Tulsa is on ESPN2 (noon ET), Appalachian State-East Carolina is on ESPNU (4 p.m. ET), UAB-Arkansas is on SEC Network (4:15 p.m. ET), and North Texas-Texas Tech is on FS1 (noon ET).

Army and Navy, which had never competed in the same conference in football until this season, sit tied atop the American Athletic Conference standings after each team won its respective conference opener last Saturday.

In the College Football Playoff era (since 2014), The American has a combined 102-59 record against non-autonomous FBS conferences (a .634 winning percentage).

Rice leads the nation with 11 sacks through two games.

Memphis has scored at least 20 points in 29 consecutive games, marking the longest active streak among FBS teams

North Texas QB Chandler Morris’ 737 passing yards in 2024 rank second among FBS players. Only Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has passed for more yards (795).

East Carolina has committed 10 turnovers through two games, the most of any team nationally. The Pirates are 2-0 however, and have won their two games by an average of 22.5 points.

Memphis QB Seth Henigan is the only fourth-year player in FBS who is starting at quarterback for the same school in all four years.

Navy has won 70 consecutive home games when leading after the third quarter. The Midshipmen’s last home loss when leading after 45 minutes was in 1999.

Rice QB E.J. Warner is the first player to start at quarterback for two American Athletic Conference schools in a career. Warner was a two-year starter at Temple.

One late-season American Athletic Conference game will move to Friday, Nov. 29, for national television opportunities on either ABC or ESPN. The Black Friday selections will come from UAB-Charlotte, Navy-East Carolina, or South Florida-Rice. The selection will be made by Oct. 7

The 2024 American Athletic Conference Football Championship is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6, and will be televised in prime time on ABC.
