American Athletic Conference Announces Volleyball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly volleyball awards for the week ending Sunday, October 13.

Offensive Player of the Week

Jorda Crook, So., OPP, UAB

Crook had a dominant week, averaging 7.25 points per set while hitting .433 in a pair of wins over Temple and Charlotte.

Defensive Player of the Week

Madison Page, Sr., MB, UAB

Page was a force at the net for the Blazers, finishing 1.50 blocks per set in a pair of wins over Temple and Charlotte.

Setter of the Week

Jordan Heatherly, So., Memphis

Heatherly paced the Tigers with 12.00 assists per set, while adding 2.07 points, 4.00 digs, and 0.71 blocks per set in wins over Charlotte and Temple

Freshman of the Week

Tiffany Snook, Fr., MB, Memphis

Snook averaged 3.71 points per set and hit an impressive .438 from her middle blocker position in wins over Charlotte and Temple.

Honorable Mention

Kelsey Smith, Jr., S, UAB

Smith paced the Blazers with 11.83 assists per set, totaling 71 assists in sweeps over Temple and Charlotte.

Lademi Ogunlana, Jr., MB, Rice

Ogunlana powered the Owls to sweeps over East Carolina and North Texas, averaging 1.33 blocks per set.

Cindy Tchouangwa, So., OH, Rice

Tchouangwa finished with 4.33 points per set in a pair of sweeps over East Carolina and North Texas.

Maria Clara Andrade, Jr., OH, South Florida

Andrade continued her impressive season, averaging 5.11 points per set in wins over Wichita State and Tulsa.

Caroline Dykes, Sr., S, South Florida

Dykes paced the Bulls to wins over Wichita State and Tulsa with 12.44 assists per set.
