American Athletic Conference Announces Volleyball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s final weekly volleyball awards for the week ending Wednesday, November 22.

Offensive Player of the Week

Morgan Stout, R-Jr., MB, Wichita State

Morgan Stout helped the Shockers end the season with a win and finish in second place in The American. The middle blocker had 13 kills and hit .524 in a sweep of UAB. She added three blocks on the defensive side.

Defensive Player of the Week

Alyssa Finister, So., MB, East Carolina

Finister helped the Pirates earn their first 20-win season since 2017 and the fifth in program history, finishing with a career-high eight blocks and four digs in a 3-1 win over UTSA.

Weekly Honor Roll

Arianna Beckham, So., OH/RS, Florida Atlantic

Beckham finished with 10 kills while hitting .280, while adding eight digs and two blocks in a win over Tulane.

Victoria Hensley, So., S, Florida Atlantic

Hensely paced the Owls with 37 assists, while having a match-high 15 digs in the Owls’ sweep of Tulane.

Jamison Wheeler, Jr., OH, SMU

Wheeler led the Mustangs to a pair of wins, including finishing the season with a conference sweep of Temple with 14 kills and nine digs.

Avery Kalsu, Sr., S, Tulsa

Kalsu paced the Golden Hurricane with 38 assists, while adding five kills in the four-set win over Charlotte.

Marta Pecalli, Jr., L, Tulsa

Pecalli tallied 21 digs and held a perfect reception percentage on 17 attempts as the Golden Hurricane ended the season with a 3-1 win over Charlotte.
