American Athletic Conference Announces Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the fourth week of the regular season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Collin Holloway, Jr., F, Tulane

Holloway led the Green Wave to two wins last week, averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks. He scored 20 points with four rebounds against Prairie View A&M on Wednesday before dropping 26 points with three blocks at Fordham on Sunday.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Zion Stanford, G, Temple

Stanford averaged 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two games for Temple. He recorded 15 points and seven rebounds in the Owls’ win over La Salle on Wednesday before posting season highs of 19 points and nine rebounds against Saint Joseph’s on Saturday.

HONOR ROLL

Bobby Pettiford Jr, Jr., G, East Carolina

Pettiford recorded 24 points, four rebounds and two steals in the Pirates’ 74-66 win over UNCW on Thursday.

Vladislav Goldin, Jr., C, Florida Atlantic

Goldin nearly averaged a double-double with 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds as the Owls defeated Liberty and Charleston in the Field of 68 Tip Off.

Travis Evee, Sr., G, Rice

Evee averaged 23.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists as the Owls took down UT Martin and Houston Christian.

Jordan Riley, Jr., G, Temple

Riley averaged 18.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games for the Owls.

Isaiah Wyatt, R-Jr., G/F, UTSA

Wyatt posted 27 points, six rebounds and three assists in the Roadrunners’ win over Lamar on Thursday.
