IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors, for the competition week ending April 3.
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Max Sturdza, Gr. – Florida Atlantic
Sturdza earned his first individual title, claiming the top spot at the Southern Invitational by eight shots after shooting 16-under 197 (64-70-63). His final round of 63 is the lowest round in Florida Atlantic history. He also helped guide the Owls to a first-place team finish.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Nicole Nash, Fr. – East Carolina
Nash became the first Pirate since 2021 to earn an individual title, claiming first place at the Ironwood Invitational. She shot 2-under 214 (70-73-71) to earn the top spot at the tournament. Nash was the lone player in the field of 90 to shoot under par. She also led the Pirates to a first-place team finish.
