IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors, for the competition week ending Tuesday, February 6.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Melanie Green, Sr., – South Florida
Green churned out an impressive performance in the first tournament of the spring season, capturing a first-place finish as the FAU Paradise Invitational. It marked her first solo victory of her career, posing a score of six-under 210 in the 54-hole event. Green led the field in par fives (-4) and par three (-2) scoring, shot under par in all three rounds at 70-69-71 and scored lower than two players ranked in the Clippd Top 100 Rankings. Green’s six-under par was crucial in helping the Bulls earn a first-place finish in the event by four strokes.
