IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the recipients of the 2025 American Outdoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performance awards. Student-athletes from East Carolina, South Florida, UTSA and Wichita State earned top honors following standout performances at the American Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The awards are presented to the athletes who posted the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA performance list during the conference championship meet.
Men’s Outdoor Track Most Outstanding Performance
Jason Parrish, Wichita State – 400 Hurdles
Parrish claimed gold in the 400-meter hurdles with a blistering time of 49.17 seconds. The performance not only set a new American Championship meet record but also vaulted him to No. 7 on the NCAA performance list and first in The American.
Men’s Outdoor Field Most Outstanding Performance
Vincent Ugwoke, South Florida – Discus
Ugwoke delivered a record-breaking performance in the discus, throwing 62.51 meters to shatter the previous championship record of 59.05 meters set in 2017. His mark ranks 10th nationally as he heads into NCAA regional competition.
Women’s Outdoor Track Most Outstanding Performance
Kelly Ufodiama, East Carolina – 200-Meter
Ufodiama captured titles in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, solidifying her status as the meet’s Most Outstanding Performer. Her 200-meter time of 22.69 seconds ranks No. 15 nationally and stands as the third-fastest in American Championship history.
Women’s Outdoor Field Most Outstanding Performance
Ida Breigan, UTSA – Long Jump
Breigan soared to victory in the women’s long jump with a mark of 6.50 meters. Her jump ranks 12th in the NCAA this season heading into the NCAA regional competition.
