WHAT THE GATORS SAID:
“What a fun night it was. Great environment, great excitement. This team really came together, and their intention this week was I’m grateful. And they truly didn’t let any little thing that didn’t go quite how they wanted it to, get in their way, and they just kept moving forward. They stuck together. They finished strong. It was about midnight when we were doing floor, you know, in Gainesville, but really, really proud of this team.
“We had four solid events and looking forward to a nice day off, recovery day, and getting to do this all over again. It is such a privilege and something that we don’t take for granted, and we’re moving into the Sweet 16.” – Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland
On her uneven bars 10.0:
“I was super excited. Bars is my favorite event. So after a couple of 9.975s, it’s really exciting to get the 10.
“I know that it was one of my best routines. I was really focusing on my handstands, so when I stuck the dismount, I was super excited and anticipating maybe a high score. So for it to finish with a 10, I was literally jumping.” – sophomore Skye Blakely
On her and the Gators performance Thursday:
“It went great. I was I was just super happy with my performance, especially I was super happy with the energy of the team before we even got here. So that was that was definitely something that just brought me to a normal state like I am at practice. I was happy that not only I felt that, but the rest of the team felt that.
“So I think I think tonight and also SECs gave us a lot of confidence and just a lot of reassurance that we know that what we do in and out of the gym is working and just how we’re functioning as a team is working too.” – senior Selena Harris-Miranda
