The Gators have won five team titles in consecutive seasons as Paula Francisco led UF with a solo third at 9-under in the regular season finale.
SUNSET, S.C. – The No. 4 Florida women’s golf team heads into the postseason behind a stellar regular-season as the Gators won their fifth tournament on Sunday at the Clemson Invitational. Florida has now won five team titles in consecutive seasons for just the third time in program history (2015-16 & 2016-17, 1984-85 & 1985-86).
Florida entered the final round with a three-stroke lead and held off No. 8 Arkansas by single-shot to win the tournament at 17-under overall for its fourth lowest tournament score by par this season (-28, -26 & -20). The victory is the second all-time at the Clemson Invitational (2016) as UF closed the regular season with back-to-back wins and five in the last seven outings.
The tournament title is 41st all-time under head coach Emily Glaser; 42nd total as she was an assistant coach for a season in 2011-12. It is the third straight season with three-plus single-season wins and back-to-back with five-plus victories. This is the fourth season under Glaser of five-plus tournament titles in a season as the Gators have accomplished the mark eight times in program history.
Since the 2023-24 season, the Gators have won 13 tournaments and posted 27 top-5 and 20 to-3 outings across 31 tournaments.
Paula Francisco had the top finish for the Orange and Blue in solo third after she won her first collegiate event in her previous outing at the Gators Invitational. She shot her sixth consecutive round under par and team-best 13th of the season with a bogey-free 69 (-3) to finish 9-under across 54-holes with 15 birdies. Outside of a T42 in the season opener, the junior has finished T12-T12-2-T15-T20-1-3.
Earning some momentum heading into next week’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA), Megan Propeck placed solo fourth at 5-under. She shot an important final round of 69 (-3) as all three rounds this weekend were par or better (70-72-69). Propeck now has a team-leading six top-10s and tied team-high eight top-25s with Francisco.
The third Gator to finish her final 18-holes in the red was Siuue Wu with a 70 (-2) en route to an 11th place finish at 2-under. One shot behind her was Elaine Widjaja in T12 at 1-under.
UF opens up postseason play at the SEC Championship in Belleair, Fla. at Pelican Golf Club from April 17-21. Last year, the Gators finished runner-up, their best finish since 2022.
Following the conference tournament, the Gators will learn their regional assignment on April 29 at 4 p.m. on Golf Channel. NCAA Regionals are slated for May 11-13 at six predetermined locations:
* Ann Arbor, Michigan | University of Michigan Golf Course (University of Michigan, host).
* Chapel Hill, North Carolina | UNC Finley Golf Course (University of North Carolina, host).
* Simpsonville, Kentucky | University of Louisville Golf Club (University of Louisville, host).
