Films Earns Record 23 Nominations, Including Five Nominations for ‘NFL Films Presents’ and Three Nominations for ‘WWE: Unreal’
NFL Network Host Rich Eisen Earns Nomination for Outstanding Sports Personality: Studio Host
NEW YORK — March 25, 2026 — The National Football League earned 32 Sports Emmy Award nominations for its work across NFL Films, NFL Network, NFL Marketing, the league office and Mundo NFL, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced today.
NFL Films earned 23 nominations this year – the most in the 63-year history of the company – highlighted by a record high five nominations for the series NFL Films Presents (Outstanding Edited Sports Series: Hosted; Outstanding Sports Documentary: Short for The Arctic Challenge; Outstanding Sports Feature: Long Form for Tim Green – A Voice Reclaimed; Outstanding Sports Camera Work: Short Form for Silent Super Bowl; and Outstanding Sports Writing: Long Form for The Superdome at 50). Additionally, NFL Films’ first non-football all-access docuseries, WWE: Unreal, earned three nominations in its first season in the categories of Outstanding Sports Documentary Series: Serialized, Outstanding Sports Editing: Long Form and Outstanding Sports Graphic Design: Specialty. In the Outstanding Sports Documentary Series: Serialized category, NFL Films also earned a nomination for the latest season of Quarterback.
The Hard Knocks series received four nominations, with the Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills edition earning two in the categories of Outstanding Sports Camera Work: Long Form and Outstanding Sports Audio/Sound: Post Produced, and the In Season with the NFC East edition earning two in the categories of Outstanding Sports Writing: Long Form and Outstanding Music Direction: Sports.
For the fifth consecutive year, NFL Game Day All Access earned a nomination in the Outstanding Edited Sports Event Coverage, this year for its Super Bowl LX edition. NFL Films also earned another nomination in that category for Road to the Super Bowl.
NFL Network host Rich Eisen earned a nomination in the Outstanding Sports Personality: Studio Host category for his work on such programs as NFL GameDay Morning, the network’s coverage of events such as the NFL Draft and NFL Scouting Combine, and for his work hosting The Rich Eisen Show. NFL Network also earned a nomination in the Outstanding Edited Sports Special category for The Hall of Fame Knocks: Class of 2026.
The NFL Media Group earned a nomination in Outstanding Sports Documentary: Short category with NFL Explained: Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
In the Outstanding Public Service Content: Sports category, the NFL Marketing team earned a nomination for Super Bowl LX: Champion.
The NFL also earned a nomination for Monsters Funday Football in the Outstanding Live Sports Special: Non-Championship Event category along with ESPN, Beyond Sports and Pixar.
The 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall.
