CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team (7-6, 0-3 ACC) dropped their third straight match with a shutout from the No. 4 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (16-2, 3-0 ACC) on Friday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons secured the doubles point with two quick wins on court two and three, before notching three straight in singles to clinch the win. When play was halted, No. 98 Antonio Prat led No. 18 DK Suresh Ekambaram 3-6, 6-4, 5-3 at the top court.
The Hurricanes will remain home to face No. 23 NC State to look for their first ACC win of the season.
