Kareem Hunt, Myles Garrett & Andy Borregales Named Week 12 AFC Players of the Week

NEW YORK — Nov. 26, 2025 —Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 12 (November 20, 23-24).

OFFENSE: RB KAREEM HUNT, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

  • Hunt had a season-high 130 scrimmage yards (104 rushing, 26 receiving) and a rushing touchdown in Kansas City’s 23-20 overtime win over Indianapolis. Hunt was the only player in the AFC with at least 100 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards in Week 12.
  • This is Hunt’s second Offensive Player of the Week award (Week 9, 2018) and he becomes the fifth Chiefs running back to earn the honor multiple times, joining Priest Holmes (four-time winner), Larry Johnson (four), Jamaal Charles (three) and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marcus Allen (two).

  • Hunt is the first former player from Toledo to win multiple Player of the Week awards.

DEFENSE: DE MYLES GARRETT, CLEVELAND BROWNS

  • Garrett had five tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks and two forced fumbles in Cleveland’s 24-10 win at Las Vegas. This marked Garrett’s 75th career game with a sack since entering the NFL in 2017 and he is the fourth player since 1982, when the individual sack became an official statistic, with at least 75 games with a sack in his first nine career seasons, joining Pro Football Hall of Famers DeMarcus Ware (79 games) and Reggie White (79) as well as Von Miller (77).
  • Garrett, who has 18 sacks this season and had 16 sacks in 2021 and 2022 is third player since 1982with at least 16 sacks in three career seasons, joining J.J. Watt (four seasons) and Pro Football Hall of Famer Reggie White (four).
  • This is the fifth-career Defensive Player of the Week award for Garrett, tying Bernie Kosar for the most Player of the Week awards won by a Browns player.

  • Garrett is the third former Texas A&M player to earn Player of the Week at least five times, joining Dante Hall (seven-time winner) and William Thomas (five).

SPECIAL TEAMS: K ANDY BORREGALES, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

  • Made all four of his field goal attempts – 41, 45, 19, and 52 – and was the only AFC kicker with three made field goals of 40-or-more yards.
  • This is the first Special Teams Player of the Week award for Borregales, becoming the fifth Patriots rookie to earn the honor in the past 20 years (2006-25) and first since Marcus Jones (Week 11, 2022).
  • Borregales joins Michael Badgley (two-time winner) as the only former University of Miami kickers to earn Player of the Week.
