BULLS REMAIN UNBEATEN
Following four-set victories over Temple and North Texas, South Florida remains the lone unbeaten team in conference play at 4-0. The Bulls will travel to take on Rice, who enter on a three-match winning streak and a game back, on Friday at 7 p.m. in Houston.
LOG JAM AT THE TOP
Two weeks into conference play and there are five teams tied for second place with a 3-1 record. This weekend will feature a few key match ups between four teams when Florida Atlantic travels to Charlotte on Friday and Rice travels to UTSA on Sunday.
ON THE ATTACK
Two American players rank in the top five in the nation in attacks per set. Tulane’s Avery Burks is second in the nation at 12.81 attacks per set, while Rice’s Taylor Preston is 8th in the county with 12.12 attacks per set.
CAN YOU DIG IT
Two American teams rank in the Top 10 in the nation in digs per set. Tulane enters the week ranking 2nd in the country in digs per set with 18.07, while Charlotte is 5th in the nation with 17.62 digs per set. In total team digs, Temple ranks 9th in the country with 1,074 digs.
NCAA RPI Report
The first edition of the NCAA RPI Report was release and four American teams rank in the top 75, led by South Florida at 36. Tulsa comes in at 43, followed by Rice (65) and Florida Atlantic (66). As a conference, the American is ranked 5th, behind only the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 and ACC.
