BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books with six former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here’s a rundown of how each performed during the second week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):

#0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
– The Texans’ captain Al-Shaair played a major role in Houston’s thriller on Monday Night versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 77 snaps, he racked up 10 tackles with a team-high eight solo. He also recorded a pass breakup as the Texans fell on a last-second touchdown by a score of 20-19.

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Houston Texans
– Bryant was signed to Houston’s 53-man roster following Week 1 and is now sharing the field with his former teammate Al-Shaair. Playing in primetime against Tampa Bay, he served as the team’s starting tight end and saw the field for 19 snaps in a run blocking role.
Texans’ Record: 0-2
Next Game: vs. Jacksonville – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)

#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
– It was another week, another sack for Hendrickson. The reigning NFL sack champion’s second of the season came at an opportune time, taking down Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the closing seconds to seal a 31-27 win.

Hendrickson added three tackles and three QB hits, as well as a pass deflection.

#84 Zaire Mitchell-Paden | TE | Baltimore Ravens
– For the second straight week, Mitchell-Paden was a practice squad callup for Baltimore. Playing against his former team in the Cleveland Browns, he entered the game for 23 total snaps, 14 on offense and nine on special teams, in the 41-17 victory.
Ravens’ Record: 1-1
Next Game: vs. Detroit – Monday, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN/ABC)

#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
– Now on the official 53-man roster, Pierre played 13 snaps on special teams. Pittsburgh fell to the Seattle Seahawks in a 31-17 defeat.
Steelers’ Record: 1-1
Next Game: at New England – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)

#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
– “Motor” received a carry and caught one pass in the matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants came up short in overtime against their NFC East rival by a score of 40-37.
Giants’ Record: 0-1
Next Game: vs. Kansas City – Sunday, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)
