The three-time GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter and producer made history at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards as the first artist ever nominated for both “Best New Artist” and “Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical)” in the same year. This followed her record-breaking sweep at the 2024 BRIT Awards, where she won six awards—the most ever in a single year—and became the first woman named “Songwriter of the Year.”
RAYE has charted 18 Top 40 U.K. singles and amassed over 10 billion global streams. Her diverse catalog spans pop, R&B, hip-hop, gospel, jazz and dance, and includes collaborations with Stormzy, Central Cee, David Guetta, Jax Jones and Disclosure. As a songwriter, she’s penned tracks for Beyoncé, Charli XCX and Jennifer Lopez, and rising stars like JADE and Halle.
Her 2023 debut album, My 21st Century Blues (Human Re Sources/The Orchard), marked her first as an independent artist and became a global success, led by the viral hit “Escapism.” The track reached No. 1 in the UK, cracked the Top 10 in over 20 countries and became the UK’s biggest-selling single by a female British artist in 2023. The album sparked over 150 headline shows worldwide, including performances at Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Her Royal Albert Hall show, backed by a 50-piece orchestra and gospel choir, was released on vinyl and broadcast on the BBC and PBS.
In 2024, RAYE made her Saturday Night Live debut, opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley, and performed at both the Academy Awards (James Bond tribute) and the GRAMMY Awards (“Oscar Winning Tears”). She also appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Daily Show, the AMAs, MTV EMAs and more. In early 2025, she joined LISA and Doja Cat on the global hit “Born Again,” which she co-wrote and co-produced, earning the trio an MTV VMA. She also collaborated with Mark Ronson on two jazz-influenced singles, one of which appeared on the star-studded F1® THE MOVIE soundtrack. Her 2025 summer festival run included sets at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, Governor’s Ball, Newport Jazz Festival, All Points East and more.
Currently British Vogue’s October cover star, RAYE’s new single, “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”, is out now and marks the first release from her highly anticipated sophomore album, set to arrive in 2026 and available to pre-order now. Co-written and produced with longtime collaborator Mike Sabath, the track debuted at Glastonbury and blends funky brass, syncopated R&B grooves and glossy soul-pop production. To support the release, RAYE will embark on her 40-date 2026 headline tour, THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC, with stops across the UK, Europe and North America. Her sisters, ABSOLUTELY and AMMA, will join as special guests. General ticket sales open on Sep. 25 at 10 a.m. local time online.
A passionate advocate for songwriters, RAYE will receive a special Ivors Academy Honour in October for her outspoken activism.
