M-SOC | Owls Square Up with Fifth-Ranked NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – Florida Atlantic men’s soccer will play its first game outside the state of Florida on Saturday night. The Owls (4-1-0) meet No. 5 NC State (4-0-1) for a 6 p.m. kickoff on ACC Network.
ABOUT THE OWLS
The Owls are coming off a 4-0 win over Florida National on Tuesday at home.
Last Sunday’s scheduled match at Stetson was rained out.
Mamadou Diarra scored twice on Tuesday – his third career multi-goal game.
Oliver Moller-Jensen logged three assists.
The Owls are 5-5-2 in their last 12 matches against ranked opponents.
The last time Florida Atlantic faced a top-five opponent was the 2021 CUSA Semifinals – the Owls stunned No. 4 Marshall 3-1 to advance to the Championship.
ABOUT THE WOLFPACK
NC State is yet to allow a goal in its five matches so far this season.
The Wolfpack shut out Stetson 4-0 on Wednesday.NC State advanced all the way to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 last season, where they fell to Marshall.

FAU and NC State have met three times, with the Wolfpack prevailing on all three occasions.
