CONFERENCE PLAY COMMENCES
American Conference men’s soccer action is set to begin this weekend as eight teams will start the fight for a championship. First year member Missouri State will host their first American match against Temple at 8 p.m. ET.
Shiraishi leads the nation
Missouri State’s Fumiya Shiraishi continues his strong season, having scored six goals in three matches. He added two more goals last week and continues to lead the nation in both goals scored and goals scored per game (1.5). Shiraishi and the Bears will host Temple to begin conference play.
SEMIFINAL REMATCH
The American conference schedule begins with a rematch of one of the 2024 American Championship final matches from a season ago when FIU travels to Memphis. The Panthers came out on top 3-1 over top-seeded Memphis in the semifinals.
Weekend ranked foe
While the rest of the league begins conference play this weekend, Florida Atlantic will be playing at No. 5/15 NC State on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. The Owls enter the game with just one loss on the season, sitting at 4-1 on the year. Florida Atlantic will look to make an statement against the Wolfpack.
