Through the support of Florida Blue and Tower Hill Insurance, Florida student-athletes will continue to strengthen their connection to the community.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Athletics and Gators Sports Properties are proud to announce their continued partnership with Florida Blue and Tower Hill Insurance in support of the Goodwill Gators and Gators Experience programs, two initiatives that highlight the athletic department’s commitment to making a lasting difference in the community.
The Goodwill Gators program connects Gator student-athletes with meaningful service opportunities and charitable work, creating an impact well beyond the playing field.
Each year, student-athletes come together to support causes and individuals throughout Gainesville and beyond.
Among its signature initiatives, the program donates more than 500 pairs of shoes to local elementary school students through the Gators Tracks initiative and hosts a sports clinic for children who are bravely battling or have battled pediatric cancer, featuring participation from over 200 Gator student-athletes.
In addition to these pillar events, Goodwill Gators lends support to local efforts throughout the year.
From visiting patients and families at UF Health Shands Hospital, to volunteering at Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine Prom, Gator student-athletes continually find ways to give back to those who need it most.
Through the support of corporate partners Florida Blue and Tower Hill Insurance, these efforts will continue to grow-allowing Florida student-athletes to strengthen their connection to the community while delivering a true championship experience on and off the field.
“The heart of the Gator Nation extends far beyond competition,” Pierre Banks, the assistant director of community development at Florida, said.
“With the help of Florida Blue and Tower Hill Insurance, our student-athletes are able to expand their reach in the community and make a difference in the lives of so many.”
