UF MBK: Florida’s SEC Slate Unveiled

The Gators will host several blockbuster showdowns in conference play

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida men’s basketball emerged from the toughest conference in recent history as national champions in 2025. On Wednesday, the Southeastern Conference announced a 2026 league schedule filled with marquee matchups for the defending champs.

The Gators’ home weekends in particular will be packed with heavyweight matchups, as UF hosts Saturday games against Tennessee (Jan. 10), Auburn (Jan. 24), Alabama (Jan. 31), Kentucky (Feb. 14) and Arkansas (Feb. 28). Midweek games at Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center include Georgia (Jan. 6/7), LSU (Jan. 20/21), South Carolina (Feb. 17/18) and Mississippi State (March 3/4).

The Gators will open and close their league slate on the road, visiting Missouri on Jan. 3 to tip off SEC action and wrapping on March 7 at Kentucky. UF plays Texas on the road (Feb. 25) for the first time since 1997 and makes its first trip to Oklahoma (Jan. 13/14) since the Sooners joined the SEC. The Gators also travel to Vanderbilt (Jan. 17), South Carolina (Jan. 27/28), Texas A&M (Feb. 7), Georgia (Feb. 10/11) and Ole Miss (Feb. 21).

Under the SEC’s current scheduling format, the Gators have a home-and-home series with Georgia and South Carolina each season along with a rotational home-and-home, which will be Kentucky in 2025-26. The remaining opponents are split between home and away.

Florida’s nonconference slate includes neutral-site showdowns with Arizona and UConn and a road contest at Duke in addition to hosting Florida State in the annual rivalry. The Gators will also compete in the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego over Thanksgiving, as well as the Orange Bowl Classic in Sunrise, Fla.

Midweek date assignments, game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
