Volleyball – Ehinger, Sharks Announce 2025 Schedule

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Sharks Volleyball team, under the direction of Head Coach Kacie Ehinger, has announced its 2025 schedule. During the 2024 season, Ehinger guided the Sharks to the program’s second consecutive 20-win campaign and to the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight season. 

“I can’t wait to get going this year. I’m excited to be home and showcase this year’s team right out of the gate on opening weekend with two matches in the Shark Tank,” said Ehinger. “We’ve added some solid in-region opponents to prepare us for the always competitive Sunshine State Conference.” 

NSU begins the season with the Shark Invitational, hosting Malone in the 2025 season opener on September 5th, before matching up against D’Youville on September 6th. Nova Southeastern then travels to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the UAH Invitational against Spring Hill College (9/12), Alabama-Huntsville (9/12), Trevecca Nazarene (9/13) and Lincoln Memorial (9/13). The following weekend, the Sharks will take on UIndy (9/19), Bowie State (9/19) and Edward Waters (9/20) at the McArthur Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.  

The Sharks begin Sunshine State Conference play against Barry on September 26th before taking on the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic on September 27th. NSU returns home to the Rick Case Arena and hosts Florida Southern (10/3) and Tampa (10/4). Nova Southeastern then travels to Boca Raton to match up against the Lynn Fighting Knights in a midweek tilt on October 7th, before playing Saint Leo on October 11th. NSU returns to the Rick Case Arena for the largest home-stand of the season, beginning with Florida Tech on October 17th. NSU will then match up with Embry-Riddle (10/18), Palm Beach Atlantic (10/21), Eckerd (10/24), before hosting Rollins for senior day on October 25th. NSU then closes the month of October with matches on the road against Florida Southern (10/30) and Tampa (10/31).  

The final stretch of the 2025 regular season will begin on November 4th, with NSU welcoming Lynn to the Rick Case Arena, prior to playing Saint Leo on November 7th. Four of NSU’s final five matches will be on the road, beginning with Embry-Riddle (11/14), Florida Tech (11/15), before the last home match of the campaign against Barry on November 18th. The Sharks close the season with road match-ups against Rollins (11/21) and Eckerd (11/22).  

The NCAA South Region tournament will be held from December 4th through 6th at a to be determined location, the advancing team will then compete in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD., from December 11th through 13th.
