UF MBK: Florida Announces Nonconference Slate

The Gators undertake a challenging nonconference schedule in 2025-26

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida men’s basketball unveiled more details of the 2025-26 nonconference schedule on Tuesday, adding to several marquee events already announced and a pair of yet-to-be announced neutral-site contests.

The Gators will open the 2025-26 campaign on Nov. 3 in Las Vegas vs. Arizona before returning to Gainesville for their home opener Nov. 6 vs. North Florida and the annual rivalry game vs. Florida State on Nov. 11. Florida will play a neutral-site game to be announced before facing Merrimack at the O’Dome on Friday, Nov. 21, the night before football hosts Tennessee.

The Gators will then play five straight away from home, including the Thanksgiving tournament in San Diego, the ACC-SEC Challenge and Duke and the Jimmy V Classic vs. UConn in New York City and a game in the state of Florida to be announced.

A trio of home games around the holiday season puts a cap on UF’s challenging nonconference slate before the Gators open Southeastern Conference play on Jan. 3.

Conference play brings an elite slate of home games and seven 2025 NCAA Tournament teams to Exactech Arena the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, with Florida set to host Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and South Carolina.
