South Florida Women’s Basketball Set for Showdown with Duke at Yuengling Center
Bulls defeated the Top-10 ranked Blue Devils last year
TAMPA, Fla. – June 3, 2025 – South Florida women’s basketball is set for another showdown with Duke in Tampa during the Bulls’ 2025-26 season.
The Bulls and Blue Devils will meet on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Yuengling Center in the second matchup of a two-game home series and the fifth meeting overall in the series. Tipoff time and network designation will be announced at a later date.
Last season, USF’s nonconference schedule was highlighted by a 65-56 win over No. 9/10-ranked Duke on Dec. 21 in Yuengling Center. That victory marked the 22nd-ranked win in program history, head coach Jose Fernandez’s 20th-ranked win, and the program’s 30th win against a Power-5 opponent.
The Blue Devils finished the 2024-25 season with a 29-8 record and made an appearance in the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament before finishing the season ranked seventh in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Bulls concluded the 2024-25 season with a 23-11 mark and 13-4 in league action, which marked Fernandez’s 14th-straight 19-win season and his 12th 20-win season. The program earned its fourth league title and 10th NCAA Tournament berth by winning the 2025 AAC Conference Tournament Championship, defeating Tulane, North Texas, and Rice in three consecutive days.
