BVB | Florida Atlantic Awarded No. 13 Seed in NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 13 seed Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will make its third NCAA Championship appearance as the Sandy Owls are set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship on May 2-4 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The Sandy Owls will face off against the No. 4 seed LMU (CA) in the opening round on Friday, May 2, at 9 a.m. ET.
The field was selected from the 103 NCAA member institutions that sponsor beach volleyball. Eight teams received automatic qualification as conference champions while the remaining eight were selected at-large.
Conferences awarded an automatic qualification include the ASUN Conference, Big West Conference, Conference USA, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, Ohio Valley Conference, Southland Conference, Sun Belt Conference, and the West Coast Conference.
The 16 teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket on May 2-4. The first round will take place on May 2, followed by the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds on May 3, and concluding with the national championship on May 4.
The NCAA Championship will be televised live on the ESPN networks. The opening round, quarterfinals, and semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN2, starting at 9 a.m. ET on May 2. The national championship on Sunday, May 4, will be broadcast on ESPN at 10:30 a.m. ET. Fans can also watch live stream coverage of every court, starting with Friday’s duals, on ESPN+.
