IRVING, Texas – Coming off an American Championship, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane found where they will be competing for the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship, while Charlotte’s Pinky Chaisilprungruang earned an at-large selection to compete as an individual.
The committee selected 72 teams (including automatic qualifiers) and 36 individuals (including automatic qualifiers) not on those teams for participation at one of the six regional sites. Each regional site is comprised of 12 teams and six individuals (not on one of the selected teams). Five teams and the leading individual not on an advancing team from each regional site shall advance to the final site. Regional play will take place May 5-7 at six regional sites and the championship will be held from May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA.
Tulsa, the 2025 American champion, earned the conference’s automatic bid earlier this month at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Fla. The Golden Hurricane will make their 21st NCAA Regionals Appearance and fourth in five seasons (2021, 2023, 2024). The Golden Hurricane earned the 9th seed at the Norman Regional and will play at the OU Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma.
Charlotte will send freshman Pinky Chaisilprungruang to the Charlottesville Regional as an individual at-large selection. She will play at the Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Virginia. Pinky enters the NCAA Regionals ranked No. 47 in the latest Clippd rankings.
