BASE | Owls Host UCF Looking to Sweep Season Series

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball will look to stretch its winning streak to four games and sweep the season series from UCF when the sides meet on Tuesday night. First pitch between the Owls (27-12) and the Knights (22-17) at the FAU Baseball Stadium is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on ESPN+.

OWLS IN REVIEW
The Owls are coming off a three-game sweep of Wichita State. Trey Beard struck out seven batters in six innings in Thursday’s 9-2 victory. The sophomore was named AAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for the first time this season. Marshall Lipsey finished the four-game week 6-for-14 at the plate with a home run, a double, and a triple. Lipsey earned a nod on the AAC weekly honorable mention list.
THE OPPONENT
UCF took two out of three from No. 15 TCU over the weekend. The Knights are 12th of 14 teams in the Big 12 standings with four weeks remaining in the regular season.
OPPONENT HISTORY
Florida Atlantic won the first meeting with UCF, 4-3, in Orlando on February 25. The Owls have won four of the last six against the Knights, dating back to 2022.
WHAT’S NEXT
The Owls hit the road for a three-game weekend series against Charlotte beginning Friday, April 25, at 6 p.m.
