Trey Beard struck out seven batters in six innings in Thursday’s 9-2 victory. The sophomore was named AAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for the first time this season. Marshall Lipsey finished the four-game week 6-for-14 at the plate with a home run, a double, and a triple. Lipsey earned a nod on the AAC weekly honorable mention list. THE OPPONENT UCF took two out of three from No. 15 TCU over the weekend. The Knights are 12th of 14 teams in the Big 12 standings with four weeks remaining in the regular season. OPPONENT HISTORY Florida Atlantic won the first meeting with UCF, 4-3, in Orlando on February 25. The Owls have won four of the last six against the Knights, dating back to 2022.
