Coral Springs has a new police chief

From David Volz

On April 4, Brad Mock was sworn in as the new Coral Springs Police Chief, taking the helm from former Police Chief Brad McKeone, who accepted the role of Deputy City Manager for the city earlier this year.

As the new Police Chief, Mock will oversee the safety and security of the Coral Springs community, which includes approximately 135,000 residents and a team of over 300 police officers and civilian staff. Chief Mock brings more than two decades of experience with the Coral Springs Police Department, having ascended through the ranks from Patrol Officer to his recent position as Interim Police Chief.

Mock is excited about his new role. “I am honored to take on the responsibility of leading the Coral Springs Police Department. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated officers and community partners to continue making Coral Springs one of the safest cities in the region,” said Mock.

Brad McKeone, who has served as the Police Chief since 2022, transitioned into his new role as Deputy City Manager earlier this year, where he continues to serve the city in an expanded leadership capacity.
