The two-time veteran Pro Bowl star will fire up the South Florida fans with the most famous words in motorsports

MIAMI, Fla. (March 17, 2025) – Homestead-Miami Speedway announced today that Miami Dolphins edge rusher Bradley Chubb has been named the grand marshal for the Straight Talk Wireless 400. The two-time veteran Pro Bowl star will fire up the South Florida fans with the most famous words in motorsports before an epic on-track battle between the NASCAR Cup Series drivers on Sunday, March 23.

“It’s an honor to have an athlete extremely dedicated to their craft like Bradley Chubb help us kick-off the Straight Talk Wireless 400 as our grand marshal,” said Homestead-Miami Speedway President Guillermo Santa Cruz. “Bradley’s tenacity and passion on the field embody the spirit of competition that we’ve continued to produce here at Homestead-Miami Speedway. We’re looking forward to him bringing the South Florida sports energy to our fans prior to another fierce Cup Series race next weekend.”

Chubb played college football for four seasons at NC State, accumulating numerous awards. These awards include ACC Defensive Player of the Year, first-team All-ACC, first-team All-America, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and the Ted Hendricks Award. Chubb was drafted fifth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, where he spent four seasons before being traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Chubb would go on to sign a five-year, $110 million dollar extension with $63.2 million guaranteed. In 2022, Chubb had a productive season finishing with eight sacks, 39 total tackles, one pass defended, and three fumble recoveries. Chubb was named to his second Pro Bowl in 2023, playing in 16 games recording 11 sacks, his second highest sack total in his career. Chubb tore his ACL in Week 17 of 2023 and missed the 2024 season recovering from his injury. He will continue to be a focal point of the Miami Dolphins defense as they look to make another playoff push, last making the playoffs in 2023.

“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to kick off the Straight Talk Wireless 400 in South Florida,” said Bradley Chubb. “Getting a behind-the-scenes look at Homestead-Miami Speedway last week was an incredible experience, and I can’t wait to feel the energy on Sunday.”
