Dolphins sign Mattison
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have signed running back Alexander Mattison as an unrestricted free agent.
Mattison has played in 89 career games with 26 starts in six seasons with Minnesota (2019-2023) and Las Vegas (2024). He has recorded 716 carries for 2,790 rushing yards (3.9 avg.) and 15 touchdowns in his career, along with 136 receptions for 1,012 receiving yards (7.4 avg.) and seven touchdown receptions. Mattison has also appeared in three postseason games with the Vikings. He entered the NFL as a third-round selection (102nd overall) by Minnesota in the 2019 NFL Draft. Mattison played collegiately at Boise State (2016-18), where he appeared in 40 games and recorded 581 carries for 2,829 rushing yards (4.9 avg.) with 33 rushing touchdowns, along with 60 receptions for 511 yards (8.5 avg.) and one receiving touchdown.

Dolphins re-sign Eichenberg
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have re-signed offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg.
Eichenberg has spent four seasons with Miami (2021-24) and has appeared in 60 career games with 52 starts – 14 at left tackle, 11 at left guard, eight at center, 17 at right guard and two at right tackle. He also started at center in one postseason game with the Dolphins in 2023. Eichenberg entered the NFL as a second-round selection (42nd overall) by Miami in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Notre Dame (2017-20), where he appeared in 43 games with 38 starts.

Dolphins re-sign Dodson
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have re-signed linebacker Tyrel Dodson.
Dodson was acquired by the Dolphins via waivers from Seattle on Nov. 12, 2024. He appeared in eight games with three starts last season with Miami, totaling 36 tackles (18 solo), three interceptions and four passes defensed. Dodson earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in Week 17 at Cleveland and was the only linebacker in the NFL to record three interceptions in 2024. He has appeared in 76 career games with 27 starts in five seasons with Buffalo (2020-23), Seattle (2024) and Miami (2024), totaling 235 tackles (150 solo), 6.5 sacks, three interceptions, 10 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He has also appeared in five postseason games with one start, recording eight tackles (seven solo) and one fumble recovery with the Bills. Dodson entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Buffalo in 2019 and spent part of that season on their practice squad. He played collegiately at Texas A&M (2016-18), where he appeared in 39 games and recorded 202 tackles (107 solo), 6.0 sacks, four interceptions, 15 pass deflections and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Aggies.

Dolphins sign Melifonwu
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have signed safety Ifeatu Melifonwu as an unrestricted free agent.
Melifonwu (name is pronounced ee-FAH-too mel-uh-fawn-woo) has appeared in 37 career games with 14 starts in four seasons with Detroit (2021-24). He has recorded 68 tackles (51 solo), 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, 13 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in his career. Melifonwu also started in four postseason games with Detroit in 2023 and 2024, recording 17 tackles (10 solo) and 2.0 sacks. He entered the NFL as third-round selection (101st overall) by Detroit in the 2021 NFL Draft. Melifonwu played collegiately at Syracuse (2017-20), where he appeared in 29 games with 19 starts in four seasons with the Orange and recorded 88 tackles (71 solo), 1.0 sack, three interceptions and 26 passes defensed.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have signed safety Ashtyn Davis as an unrestricted free agent.
Davis has appeared in 69 career games with 22 starts in five seasons with the N.Y. Jets (2020-24). He has recorded 154 tackles (105 solo), a 0.5 sack, eight interceptions, 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in his career. Davis entered the NFL as a third-round selection (68th overall) by the N.Y. Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at California (2016-19), where he appeared in 49 games and recorded 171 tackles (104 solo), seven interceptions, 19 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in four seasons with the Golden Bears.

Dolphins sign Westbrook-Ikhine
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have signed wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine as an unrestricted free agent.
Westbrook-Ikhine (pronounced west-brook ih-KEY-nay) is entering his sixth NFL season after appearing in 78 career games with 39 starts with Tennessee (2020-24). He has recorded 126 receptions for 1,773 yards (14.1 avg.) and 19 touchdowns in his career. He also appeared in two postseason games with the Titans. Westbrook-Ikhine entered the league as an undrafted college free agent in 2020 with Tennessee. He played collegiately at Indiana (2015-19), where he appeared in 52 games with 36 starts and totaled 144 receptions for 2,226 yards and 16 touchdowns. He ranked sixth in school history in catches, seventh in yardage and touchdowns, and was tied for seventh in 100-yard receiving games (six).

Borom has spent four seasons with Chicago (2021-24), where he appeared in 47 career games with 27 starts – 10 at left tackle, one at left guard, one at right guard and 15 at right tackle. He entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection (151st overall) by Chicago in the 2021 NFL Draft. Dolphins sign Daniels
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have signed guard James Daniels as an unrestricted free agent.
Daniels has played seven NFL seasons, spending time with Chicago (2018-21) and Pittsburgh (2022-24.) He has appeared in 90 career games with 84 starts – 23 at left guard, eight at center and 53 at right guard. He also started two postseason games, one with Chicago (2018) and another with Pittsburgh (2023). Daniels entered the league as a second-round selection (39th overall) by Chicago in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Iowa (2015-17), where he appeared in 37 games with 25 starts in three seasons with the Hawkeyes. Daniels is the cousin of former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers (2001-07), who ranks fourth in career receiving yards in franchise history (5,688).

Dolphins re-sign four players
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have re-signed linebacker Quinton Bell, defensive back Elijah Campbell, tackle Jackson Carman and wide receiver Dee Eskridge.
Bell has played in 27 career games with three starts in four seasons with Tampa Bay (2020), Atlanta (2022) and Miami (2023-24). He has recorded 26 tackles (15 solo), 1.0 sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble in his career. He played in all 17 games last season with Miami, recording 23 tackles (13 solo), 1.0 sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble. He appeared in one game with the Dolphins in 2023 after joining the team’s practice squad on Oct. 17, 2023. Bell originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (230th overall) by Oakland in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Prairie View A&M.
Campbell has played four seasons with Miami (2021-24), appearing in 55 games with three starts and totaling 24 tackles (14 solo), two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He has also recorded 16 special teams tackles (11 solo) and played in two postseason games with the Dolphins. Campbell has appeared in 58 career NFL games having also spent time with Cleveland (2018) and the N.Y. Jets (2020-21). He originally entered the league as an undrafted college free agent with Cleveland on May 4, 2018. Campbell also played for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (2019) and the DC Defenders of the XFL (2020). Campbell finished his collegiate career at Northern Iowa (2016-17), where he appeared in 24 games and recorded 87 tackles, 15 passes defensed and eight interceptions after transferring from Northern Illinois.
Carman played in eight games with one start at right tackle in his first season with Miami in 2024 after being promoted from the practice squad. He has appeared in 30 career games with seven starts in four seasons with Cincinnati (2021-23) and Miami (2024). He also appeared in seven postseason games with two starts with the Bengals. Carman originally entered the NFL as a second-round selection (46th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Clemson (2018-20), where he appeared in 40 career games with 27 starts during his three seasons with the Tigers.
Eskridge appeared in six games last season after joining Miami’s practice squad on Aug. 29, 2024, and being promoted to the active roster on Oct. 25, 2024. He recorded three receptions for 44 yards (14.7 avg.) and added five kickoff returns for 146 yards (29.2 avg.) in his first season with the Dolphins. Eskridge is entering his fifth NFL season after also having spent time with Seattle (2021-23). He has played in 30 career games, totaling 20 receptions for 166 yards (8.3 avg.) and one touchdown, while contributing 574 yards on 22 kickoff returns (26.1 avg.). Eskridge entered the NFL as a second-round selection (56th overall) by Seattle in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Western Michigan (2016-20), where he appeared in 45 games and recorded 122 receptions for 2,260 yards (18.5 avg.) and 15 touchdowns in five seasons.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have re-signed defensive tackle Matt Dickerson.
Dickerson appeared in four games in his first season with Miami in 2024 after being promoted from the practice squad. He is a six-year veteran who has appeared in 40 career games with Tennessee (2018-20), Atlanta (2022), Kansas City (2023) and Miami (2024), recording 42 tackles (17 solo). He also spent time on the practice squad with Arizona in 2021. Dickerson entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Tennessee in 2018. Kohou is entering his fourth NFL season. Dolphins tender two exclusive rights free agents
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have tendered the following exclusive rights free agents: linebacker Cameron Goode and tackle Kion Smith.
Goode has appeared in 20 games in the past two seasons with Miami (2023-24), recording three tackles (one solo) and two quarterback hits and added four special teams tackles (two solo). He spent the 2022 season on Miami’s practice squad. Goode was a seventh-round selection (224th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at California (2017-21), where he appeared in 37 games and recorded 170 tackles (97 solo), 21.0 sacks, two interceptions, 12 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in five seasons with the Golden Bears.
Smith appeared in nine games with Miami in 2023 after spending two seasons on the team’s practice squad (2021-22). He spent the 2024 season on injured reserve. Smith entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent in 2021 with Atlanta, where he spent the offseason and training camp before signing with Miami. He was a three-year starter at Fayetteville State (2016-17, 2019), where he earned first-team All-CIAA honors in 2019.
