MOTOR CITY CRUISE ACQUIRE GUARD JACK GOHLKE VIA TRADE

Cruise sends returning rights to guard ShawnDre Jones to Wisconsin Herd

DETROIT, Mich. – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today the club acquired guard Jack Gohlke from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning rights to guard ShawnDre Jones.

Gohlke, 6-3, 215, has made 20 appearances in his G League rookie campaign with averages of 3.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.0 minutes per game for the Wisconsin Herd. Prior to being acquired by Wisconsin, Gohlke spent 10 games overseas in the Mo Prva A League, participating with KK Podgorica (Montenegro). With the club, he averaged 6.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 14.7 minutes per game.

Prior to his professional career, Gohlke led the Oakland Golden Grizzlies to an upset victory over No. 3 Kentucky in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, his final collegiate season. Gohlke hit 10 3-pointers in the contest for 32 points, leading Oakland to their first NCAA tournament win since 2005. In 27 games, he totaled clips of 13.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 30.5 minutes per game and was named the 2023-24 Horizon Sixth Man of the Year.

The Pewaukee, Wis., native began his college career at the NCAA Division II level, where he played five seasons at Hillsdale College (2018-23). He earned GMAC All-First Team Honors after the 2022-23 season and in a total of 101 appearances (46 starts), averaged 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.7 minutes per game for the Chargers.

Jones, 6-0, 170, spent three seasons with the Motor City Cruise (2021-24) and was a member of the organization’s inaugural team (2021-22). In a total of 126 appearances with the Cruise, Jones averaged 7.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 19.9 minutes per game.
