IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the 2025 American Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performance awards, with student-athletes from East Carolina, North Texas, South Florida and UTSA collecting honors following the American Indoor Track & Field Championships meet on February 28-March 1.
The awards are presented to student-athletes who recorded the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA’s Division I performance list during last week’s American Indoor Track & Field Championships. South Florida junior Saminu Abdul Rasheed, North Texas graduate student Jake Parchman, East Carolina freshman Kelly Ufodiama, UTSA sophomore Ida Breigan and UTSA freshman Mia Lien were each recognized for exemplary meet marks.
MEN’S INDOOR TRACK MOST OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
Saminu Abdul-Rasheed, Jr., South Florida, 60-Meter Dash
Abdul Rasheed was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the Championship winning both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. His winning time in the 60-meter of 6.58 seconds landed him at No. 21 in the NCAA performance list.
MEN’S INDOOR FIELD MOST OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
Jake Parchman, Gr., North Texas, Weight Throw
Parchman set a new season best in the weight throw at the Championship with a throw of 21.01 meters. The distance won him the gold medal while also moving him to No. 43 on the NCAA performance list.
WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK MOST OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
Kelly Ufodiama, Fr., East Carolina, 60-Meter Dash
Ufodiama was the women’s Most Outstanding Performer, capturing gold in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Her winning time of 7.22 seconds in the 60-meter dash landed her at No. 17 on the NCAA performance list.
WOMEN’S OUTDOOR FIELD MOST OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
Ida Breigan, So., UTSA, Long Jump
Breigan has the Most Outstanding Performance for a second straight year after winning the long jump with a mark of 6.53 meters. The mark is the 13th best mark in the nation.
Mia Lien, Fr., UTSA, Pentathlon
Lien was the gold medalist in the pentathlon, finishing with 4,194 points across the five events. Liens point total puts her at No. 13 on the NCAA performance list.
