HEAR FROM FLORIDA COACH JENNY ROWLAND:
“What a great evening for Gators gymnastics and a great evening for Gators gymnastics to have an opportunity to use their voice, use their platform for our event tonight, for equality. Really proud of this team five years ago for wanting to start this event, and really proud of past and current teams of how they represent themselves and how they express themselves and use their voice for equality for all.
“Really, just a lot of pride tonight for this team. We were united as one and took a really great step forward after a hard week last week. It’s hard for these athletes. You have to wait a week in between the competitions. It was something that we talked about. You can let it hold you back, or it can catapult your kick start to your next step forward. So I believe that this team did a fantastic job of doing that and building off of each other and celebrating the wins tonight. It was a really enjoyable evening in the O’Dome and I’m extremely proud of this team.” – Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland
