ROADRUNNERS CLINCH REGULAR SEASON TITLE
The UTSA Roadrunners clinched at least a share of The American Regular Season Championship on Wednesday. They also tied their program record for wins in a regular season with the win over Tulane. UTSA has a chance to secure an outright championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming American Basketball Championship with a win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday, March 1.
TULANE VS SOUTH FLORIDA RESCHEDULED
The American Athletic Conference women’s basketball game between Tulane and South Florida, originally scheduled for January 22, has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET in New Orleans.
TEMPLE EYEING DOUBLE BYE
The Temple Owls will host Rice on Friday night with a chance to secure a second straight top four seed in The American Basketball Championship. A win over Rice would clinch a top-four seed and a double-bye. UTSA, South Florida and North Texas have all secured double-byes up to this point.
IN THE HOME STRETCH
Just two play dates remain in the regular season as teams compete for spots in The American Athletic Conference Basketball Championship to be held March 8-12 in Fort Worth, Texas. Every seed is up for grabs as just four games remain in the season.
AMERICAN IN THE NET
Two teams rank in the top 100 of the NCAA NET rankings. South Florida leads the way at 67, while UTSA is just behind at 72.
