ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball will test its mettle on the road for the first time on Tuesday night when they meet UCF in Orlando. Both teams enter the matchup at 6-1. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
OWLS IN REVIEW
- Florida Atlantic took two of three from UConn over the weekend
- On Friday, Jake Millan homered and Trey Beard struck out 10 in a 5-4 victory
- The Owls led 17-1 after three innings on Saturday before the Huskies rallied in the middle innings
- The lead was cut to 19-15 before the Owls pulled away late
- Brando Leroux doubled four times to tie the FAU single-game record – he also finished with seven RBI
- Jake Duer had four hits for the second straight day – he was named to the AAC Weekly Honorable Mention list on Monday

- The Knights swept Siena on opening weekend and knocked off Mizzou last Tuesday
- Tuesday’s projected starter is Matt Sauser – the sophomore pitched four shutout innings last Tuesday in the win over Mizzou
- Matt Prevesk leads UCF with two home runs and 10 RBI through the first seven games
- UCF went 37-21 last season and advanced to the Tallahassee Regional
