FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Women’s Tennis has begun their defense of the program’s first NCAA Division II national championship, starting the 2025 season with a 5-0 record and maintaining their second ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.
The Sharks have won 12 consecutive matches dating back to April 28, 2024, the longest streak since NSU were victorious in 14 straight matches from February 3 – March 21st, 2019.
Nova Southeastern has received stellar play from Noemie Dadoun (4-0 singles/4-1 doubles), Sofia Shing (4-1 singles/5-0 doubles), Julia Moraes (5-0 singles/4-1 doubles), Ita Habekovic (3-1 singles/4-1 doubles), Isabella Ciancaglini (4-1 singles/5-0 doubles) and Kristyna Hranacova (4-1 doubles)
NSU is joined in the top five of the ITA poll by three other Sunshine State Conference programs – No. 1 Barry, No. 3 Embry-Riddle, No. 4 Lynn.
