FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released their 13th poll of the 2024-25 season and the Nova Southeastern Sharks Men’s Basketball team, currently on a ten-game winning streak, have moved up to second in the coaches’ poll after being ranked third in NCAA Division II since January 14th. NSU earned four first place votes and is the only Sunshine State Conference team to be ranked in the poll.
During the ten-game winning streak, the Sharks are averaging 101.3 points-per-game, limiting opponents to 75.3, and outscoring opponents 1013-750 with a plus-171 point differential in the first half. NSU has a trio of Bevo Francis Award Watch List members in MJ Iraldi, Ryker Cisarik and Dallas Graziani. Iraldi leads the NSU offense, scoring 21.4 points-per-game, shooting 54% from the field, while Cisarik is averaging 17.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and shooting 60% from the field. Graziani, the national leader in assists, is scoring 12.8 points and averaging 9.9 assists during the winning streak.
On the season, NSU leads NCAA Division II with 106.2 points-per-game, in addition to ranking first in assists-per-game (25.2), assist/turnover ratio (2.31), scoring margin (26), and turnover margin (9.1). The Sharks also rank top-10 nationally in field goal percentage (52.3), steals-per-game (12.3), rebounds-per-game (43.83), turnovers forced per-game (20), fast-break points per-game (21.38), eighth in effective field goal percentage (58.0), and ninth in offensive rebounds per game (14.79).
All five starters for the Sharks are averaging double digit points – Iraldi (23.8), Cisarik (18.0), Ross Reeves (13.8), Graziani (12.8) and Tyler Eberhart (12.5). Graziani leads NCAA Division II in assists (233) and assists-per-game (9.7), while also ranking fourth in steals (70). Iraldi leads the Sunshine State Conference in scoring and has recorded 30-points in six games, including in back-to-back games.
The second-ranked Sharks take on the Florida Southern Moccasins on Wednesday night in Lakeland, FL., looking to clinch the Sunshine State Conference regular season title for the fourth consecutive year.
