Florida outscored its opponents 13-2 on Saturday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The second-ranked Florida softball team pushed past Boston College, 3-0, and Binghamton, 10-2, during the third day of the Bubly Invitational at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
The Gators (13-0) were pushed to a complete seven innings for just the fifth time this season in their rematch with Boston College to open the day.
Sophomore Keagan Rothrock (6-0) tossed her fourth complete-game shutout of the season against the Eagles, allowing just four hits with five strikeouts.
She has not allowed any earned runs in 31.2 innings pitched.
In game two, Ava Brown (3-0) picked up the third win of her sophomore season in the circle as Florida earned its eighth run-rule victory over the Bearcats.
Brown tossed three innings, allowing three hits, one run and striking out a pair.
As a team, the Gators stole eight bases against Binghamton, including six in the first inning alone.
It was a game of firsts for the Gators against the Bearcats.
Freshman Layla Lamar made her first career start as Florida’s designated player.
She went 3-for-4 on the day with two RBI, the first of her career, and her first stolen base.
Sophomore Cassidy McLellan, who made her second start of the season in left field, hit her first career home run, a three-run blast.
Freshman Gabi Comia tallied her first multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 at the plate.

* Falby extended her team-best hitting streak to 12 games
* Falby, who is now 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts, leads the NCAA in the category

Due to Sunday afternoon’s projected weather forecast, the schedule for the final two games of the Bubly Invitational has shifted.
The first game of the day, Binghamton vs. Providence, has been moved to 9 a.m.
Florida will face No. 14 Duke 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Tickets for Sunday’s originally-scheduled games will still be good for the earlier scheduled match ups.
