IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors.
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Dawson Meek, Sr. – North Texas
Meek helped guide the Mean Green to a 3rd place team finish at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate, defeating two conference opponents in the process. He shot a 1-under 215 to finish tied for fourth place, while defeating two Top 50 ranked players.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Cherry Marley, Fr. – South Florida
Marley earned a podium finish at the PDI Intercollegiate, shooting 9-under 207 for third place. The freshman shot par or better each round, including a 65 in the opening round. She defeated ten Top 100 opponents, including two Top 20 players.
