American Athletic Conference Announces Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, February 2.

Player of the Week

L’or Mputu, Sr., F, South Florida

Mputu helped guide the Bulls to two crucial wins over first-place UTSA and second-place North Texas. In the two wins, Mputu averaged a double-double.  She led all rebounders in the win over the Roadrunners with 10 boards and secured her fourth double-double of the season against the Mean Green with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Freshman of the Week

Kendall Sneed, Fr., G, Tulane

Sneed earns her fifth Freshman of the Week award after leading the Green Wave to a pair of wins.  Sneed averaged 10 points, six assists and 5.5 rebounds in wins over Florida Atlantic and UAB.

Honorable Mention

Keanna Rembert, R-Jr., F, Charlotte

Rembert scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Charlotte to a win over Memphis.

Stefanie Ingram, R-So., G, Florida Atlantic

Ingram averaged 20 points in a pair of games for the Owls, including 25 points in the win over Rice.

Tommisha Lampkin, Sr., F, North Texas

Lampkin averaged 17.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in a pair of games for the Mean Green. She now has a league-leading 11 double-doubles on the season.

Victoria Flores, So., G, Rice

Flores set a career-high 26 points, while adding eight rebounds in the win over Tulsa.

Kyren Whittington, R-Sr., G, Tulane

Whittington led the Green Wave to a pair of wins, including a 28-point performance against UAB.
