The Gators look to maintain their regular season progress after a red-hot start in the first meet of the season.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Florida Gators Track and Field is set to continue their 2025 indoor season at the Razorback Invitational, beginning on Friday, January 31 and continuing on Saturday, February 1 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The meet will be the first of two trips to Fayetteville during the Gators’ 2025 indoor campaign.
Back at home, a group of athletes will take to the Alachua County Sports and Events Center to compete in the Legends of Alachua County meet on Saturday, February 1.
Last Time Out
The Gators made the most of their first meet, seeing six performances slot into the program’s all-time top-10 performance lists, as well as a world indoor best in the 600y by Jenoah McKiver at the Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas on January 17 and 18. McKiver would take home SEC Runner of the Week and USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
The contingent of freshmen in the season opening meet made waves, as Skyye Lee (60mH), Jaden Lippett (TJ), Asia Phillips (TJ), Nicholas Spikes (200m), and Jaden Wiley (200) posted marks among the best in the nation, especially among first year competitors.
The Gators sent a group of distance runners to the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville, where Bethan Morley set a new No. 10 mark in the 1000m, among other strong performances. The distance athletes will rejoin the rest of the team for the Razorback Invitational
